SOLAR SOURCE is Hiring a Sales Manager

SOLAR SOURCE is a privately owned and operated solar contractor headquartered in Long Beach, California, that is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Sales Manager to join our growing company. 

Solar Source’s Sales Manager will sell residential and commercial solar and storage solutions across Southern California. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and nurturing their own business/customer relationships in addition to managing salespersons and developing them into a successful sales team.

If you do not have a minimum of 3 years of Sales Management experience and a proven track record of success, please do not apply. The right person for this position will foster and work to maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions. They will build a sales culture and a team around it through:  

  • Recruiting and training of sales team members 
  • Managing key client relationships and working to build new ones. 
  • Developing and strengthening business-to-business relationships with roofers, architects, developers, and general construction companies that will lead to increased lead generation and market share. 
  • Meeting with prospective customers to determine their solar energy and equipment needs. Evaluating and recommending systems, estimating cost benefits, and building rapport with potential customers. 
  • Sourcing and developing self-generated customer leads and appointments to develop new accounts; Preparing proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential customers; Selecting solar energy products, systems, or services for customers based on electric energy and battery storage requirements, site conditions, or price; Assessing sites to determine suitability for solar equipment;  Providing technical information to potential customers or dealers; Accepting quote requests or orders from dealers or customers; and demonstrating the use of solar-related equipment to customers or dealers. 
  • Generate sales reports, analyze sales performance data, and present sales performance data to company leadership.

To ensure success as a Sales Manager at SOLAR SOURCE, the right individual will have the following skills and requirements:

·         Previous work experience as a sales manager/business developer

·         Ability to learn quickly

·         Ability to relate technical information in plain language. 

·         Effective organization skills 

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills 

·         Mathematical and computer proficiency 

·         Technical perspective 

·         Analytical thought 

·         Persuasiveness, Tactfulness 

·         Patience; self-motivated and outgoing 

·         Professional appearance and a friendly disposition. 

·         Basic knowledge of sales and Office software. 

·         High regard for customer satisfaction. 

·         Must work well independently and with a team

·         Reliable transportation 

·         Valid Driver’s License 

·         Ability to travel and work irregular hours. 

·         Ability to climb a ladder 

·         Positive attitude 

·         Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills 

·         Highly motivated and target-driven with experience in home improvement sales 

WORK EXPERIENCE 

Minimum of 3 Years in Sales Management 

·         Compensation $70,000 base + commission and unlimited earning potential.  

·         Healthcare stipend 

·         Major Holidays observed
