Residential ground mount Solar Systems
Southern California and Clark County, Nevada
“The professionalism and quality of service that Solar Source provided was consistent from the beginning to the end of the project.”
Ground mount solar systems offer a flexible and efficient solution for homeowners looking to harness solar energy without using roof space. If you have open land available, a ground mount system can provide substantial energy production while maintaining the aesthetics of your home. We recently completed a successful installation in Lake Arrowhead, showcasing how these systems can be adapted to various landscapes and climates.
Why Consider a Ground Mount System?
- Flexible Placement: Ground mount systems can be placed in an optimal location for maximum sun exposure, even if your roof isn’t ideal for solar.
- Efficiency and Scale: These systems allow for larger installations, making them a great choice for homeowners with higher energy needs.
- Maintenance and Accessibility: With panels closer to the ground, maintenance and cleaning are more accessible, helping you maintain optimal performance over time.
Whether you’re looking to offset your electricity costs or reduce your carbon footprint, a ground mount solar system can be a smart, sustainable choice. Our installations span across California and Nevada, bringing renewable energy to homes with ample land in both states.

What Does the Ground Mount Solar Process Entail?
Project Planning and Design:
- After discussing your project’s details, we’ll guide you through product choices and financing options tailored to your needs. We’ll then finalize the design specifics for your ground mount system.
- Our team will collaborate with engineers to develop detailed plans, and we’ll handle obtaining all necessary permits required for your location.
Scheduling Installation:
- Once we receive permit approval, we’ll coordinate with you to schedule our team of skilled installers and electricians to begin setting up your system. Installation typically takes between 1 to 3 days, depending on the system’s size and site conditions.
Inspection and Utility Connection:
- After installation is complete, we’ll arrange a city inspection to ensure the system meets all local codes and regulations. Following the inspection approval, we’ll submit a Net Energy Metering (NEM) application to your utility company.
- Once the NEM process is completed, you’ll start earning credits from the utility for the energy your ground mount solar system generates.
Overall, the process generally takes around one month from signing the solar agreement to receiving NEM approval. This timeline ensures a smooth transition to solar energy, with our team handling each step to make it as efficient and straightforward as possible.
